+ JOB SUMMARY The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently entering new data into the Meditech database, reviewing existing data within the databases, and making revisions as needed to maintain prescribed data standards that ensure data integrity. The Data Entry Clerk is also responsible for keying information into databases from paper documents with a high degree of accuracy using excellent computer skills and attention to detail. Understands and follows data confidentiality principles. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: N/A Experience: Six (6) months experience in data entry responsibilities. Purchasing/Materials Management related experience. Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Typing speed 40WPM with accuracy, excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.), working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices, basic understanding of databases, great attention to detail. READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. WRITING - Basic: Ability to write simple correspondence. SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY - Basic Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional variables.
